Pensky Martin Flash Point Apparatus

This is widely used for determination of closed cup Flash Point of Fuel Oil, cut back asphalts, other viscous material and suspension of solids having a flash point about 490C(1200F).The apparatus serve the purpose according method B. The apparatus consists of Brass Test cup with handle removable cup cover with spring operated rotating shutter having piolet jet, stirrer with flexible shaft. The assembly rests in Air Bath which is covered with Dome shape metal top. The cup is fitted with insulated handle and locking arrangement near cup plange. The assembly rests on a round shaped heater with different temperature regulation system suitable for operation on 220 Volts AC mains.

Kinematic Viscometer Bath

This Viscometer bath is used to maintain the correct constant temperature for estimating Kinematic Viscosity of Oil and Petroleum Products in this type of bath various viscometers may be fixed as an internal part of the bath. The bath is rectangular shape.Inside tank is made of Stainless Steel Sheet. Two sides toughed glass window provided for full visibility of objects inside the bath. The bath is controlled by an electronic relay and contact Thermometer Or Digital Temperature controller cum indicator.Temperature range 50C above room temperature to 1000C. Accuracy plus minus 0.10C. Stirring is done by a FHP electric motor stirrer.Heating is done by means of tubuler type heater fitted on top of the bath.It is supplied with viscometer tube holders and stainless steel cover. Different size & accomodation are available as under without Viscometer tube.

Saybolt Viscometer

Used for determining the Viscosity of fuel oil and lubricating oil both thin & thick. The apparatus consists of Stainless Steel bath with oil cup which is centrally placed in a water bath. The bath has a lid which contains a water cooling tube, two handle with two stirrer blades, thermometer socket and a straight heater, stirring is done by turntable arrangement. A thermometer can also be inserted into the cup cover. The jets one universal and one Furol can be screwed to the cup by a handle(without strainer, withdrawal tube and glasswares). can operate on 220 Volts AC mains.

Abel's Flash Point Apparatus

Used for determining of the closed cup Flash point of Petroleum Products,their mixtures,others liquids & Paints having Flash Point below 700C. The apparatus consists of one brass cup and cover fitted with shutter mechanism test flame arrangement(Oil test jet or Gas test jet) and stirrer, placed on a water bath made of copper sheet double walled. The outer jecket of the water bath is fitted with a stand. For electrically heated apparatus, heater is fitted to the stand the heat of which may be controlled different temperature regulation system of operated on 220 Volts AC mains. For Gas heated model the drum is heated by a burner. (without burner).

Cleaveland Flash & Fire Point Apparatus

The appartus is used for determination of Flash Point & Fire Point of Petrolrum products except fuel oil with open flash 800C specification. The apparatus consists of a cup heating plate to specific dimensions thermometer clip and test flame attachment with swivel joint for passing over liquid s Fire Point Appurface in the prescribed manner, heater is controlled by means of different types of regulators fitted to the apparatus suitable for operation on 220 Volts AC mains.

Cloud And Pour Point Apparatus

This is made as a specified the pour point is the lowest tempertaure at which the oil will just fail to flow. The apparatus consists of a main cooling bath made of stainless steel sheet and stand unit with drain plug and cover with provision for fitting thermometer and a filling aperture for adding freezing mixture. A glass jar for containing oils, jacket, disc and gasket as specifed are also provided.

Penetrometer Apparatus

This apparatus is used for penetration test on a wide variety of materials such as grease, Petroleum, Bitumen, Tar, Wax, Polish, food stuff, Rubber asphalts and pharmaceuticals Creams.A given force is applied over a given of a millimeter and expressed as penetration. It consists of a head support mounted on a vertical rod which can be adjusted for height. A rack and pinion and pointer assembly provides fine adjustment of a needle tip to sample and incorporates a slipping clutch mechanism which make reading of Penetration and subsequent resetting of a sample and accurate operation. The dial is graduated from 0-400 in on tenth millimeter Sub Division. The instrument is supplied with two samples containers made of aluminium. The penetration is the distance in millimeter that a standard needle penetrates vertically into a sample of the material under fixed conditions of loading time and temperature. This instrument measures the reading on round dial fitted on a Aluminium Painted stand having adjustable penetration needle, holder sample container and transfer dish.

Distillation Apparatus

Made in accordance with specifications ,determination of distillation characterstic of Petroleum Products. The instrument consists of metal shield fitted with asbestos board to support distillation flask with GEARED height adustable device. It has slide for vapour tube and linning having glass window for Clear view of inside objects. The condenser bath is provided with Mild Steel black painted stand (without glasswares)electrically operated on 220 volts AC mains.

Bomb Calorimeter Apparatus

Bomb Calorimeter Outfit provide a simple and inexpensive method for determination of heat of combustion of organic matter and the calorific value & sulphur content of solid & liquid fuel. The outfit supplied is complete for analysis as per the method recommended by British Standard Institution . All parts of the outfit have been finished and tested according to the specification laid down by Institute of petroleum and British Standard Institute. It comes with all essential accessories like, Bomb, Calorimeter vessel with bomb support, water jacket, stirrer, electronic firing unit with digital backman thermometer etc

Testing of Bomb :
Each Bomb is tested before it leaves the factory in accordance with the requirement of the Institute of Petroleum and a works certificate is issued with each Bomb. This certificate gives the results of hydraulic testing under a pressure of 300 atmospheres (4400 p.s.i) maintained for a period of ten minutes without sign of leakage. The maximum deformation must not exceed the specified limits.
Calorimeter Vessel :
The vessel is made of copper and is Chromium plated or S.S. It includes a Bomb support that ensures proper positioning of Bomb in the vessel.
Water Jacket :
The outer container of Jacket is made of copper and is chromium plated both inside and outside or S.S. The is closed by an ebonite cover. A terminal block is fitted to the of the container so that connection can be made from the firing control.
Offset Stirrer :
The stirring mechanism supplied gives sufficient turbulence for effective stirring whilst no heat is imparted to the calorimeter water. It consists of an impeller stirrer driven at a constant speed of approximately 800 r.p.m. The offset arrangement whereby the motor drives the impeller via a belt precludes any possibility of heat transference between motor and calorimeter Vessel Contents.
Electronic Firing Unit with Digital Backman Thermometer :
For firing a calorimeter Bomb AC supply main (230 Volts 50 Cycles). It consists of two parts Viz Electrical Box and Electronic Box for Digital Thermometer reading. The Electrical Box is provided with socket for stirrer and terminals for the fuse wire. The unit has provision for test of firing wire resistance or open circuit. A left hand side bulb indicate the continuity while right hand side bulb indicates the open circuit (firing).
Crucible :
Various types of crucible are available the standard supplied with the outfit being a stainless steel crucible of 8 ml capacity which fits in the standard support ring provided with the outfit

Carbon Residue Apparatus (Rams Bottom)

It is used to determine the amount of Carbon deposit when an oil is evaporated under specified condition. The apparatus consists of a solid metal bath having 6 walls to accomodate cocking bulbs with heating elements around the bath the temperature which may be controlled by a Pyrometer depending upon the type supplied , 6 cocking bulbs are supplied with apparatus.

Carbon Residue Apparatus (Conradson)

It is used to determine the amount of carbon deposit when an oil is evaporated under specified condition.The Carbon residue values or crude oil , residue etc. are useful in the manufacture of various lubricants. The Apparatus consists of Spun Sheet Iron Crucible 25cc capacity, sheet iron hood and sheet iron block on a stand with triangular wire bridge.

Copper Strip Corrosion Test Apparatus

Used for detecting the presence of corrosive sulphur in petroleum products.The apparatus consists of a bath either dual purpose (500C & 1000C) or a boiling bath (1000C only) without stainless steel bomb and copper strips of definite size 6 bombs or 18 test tubes can be accomodate in each type of bath with different temperature regulation system to operate on 220 volts AC. mains.

Reid Vapour Pressure Test Apparatus

Used to determine the vapour pressure of volatile non-viscous Petroleum products except liquified petroleum gases.
The Vapour pressure is made up of brass heavily Chronium plated and consists of an air chamber and a gasoline chamber of definite dimensions and volume ratio. A pressure gauge of required range is fitted above the air chamber. The joints are made leak proof by neoprene washers. The water bath used is of such dimensions that the vapour pressure bombs may be immersed to at least 1 inch above the air chamber and maintained at a constant temparature range upto 1000C plus minus 20C.

Multiple Redwood Viscometer Apparatus

Engler Viscometer Apparatus.

Used for determing the Viscosity of lubricating and fuel oils in accordance with continental emulsions.
It consists of Stainless steel water bath having oil cup with double walled lid.The water bath with stirring device mounted on stand . A thermometer clip to the water bath and the oil cup lid has a thermometer socket. The bath is fitted with 500 watts heater . It is supplied with wooden or ebonite valve to fit jet (without glaswares). Can operate on 220 Volts AC mains.

Drop Point Apparatus

This is used for determining drop point of greases . It is an indication of the critical temperature of the solid or semi solid to the liquid state. The apparatus consists of brass sleeve and case with metal cup and a glass boiling tube with cork fitted to a bath (Beaker) is provided . A stirrer is also provided in the bath.
